Why Do Men and Women Misunderstand Each Other So Much?

Posted by Mirza Usman Sunday, September 19, 2010 0 comments

Joke from a Woman to another Woman; "Some husbands are living proof that a woman can take a joke!"

Joke from a Man to another Man; "Men are Vain, They will check themselves out in the mirror. However women are ridiculous; they will check their reflections in any shiny surface, mirrors, spoons, shop windows."

Then why do YOU think women misunderstand men and vice-versa? One basic fact of life. Women and men are different. I am not talking about their physical attributes, but in their attitudes to relationships.

I am a man, writing this article. I have tried to be fair, but can I tell you ladies, I just can't understand you most of the time. But I am sure that most of you would answer, that you can't understand us men.

I have been guilty of most of the attitudes listed, especially the shopping which I hate. Therefore to go a little way in imparting some understanding, here are 10 situations where the thinking of men and women go in opposite directions;

1) ANGER: When Anger or another problem enters a relationship A woman will want to repair the situation or problem before any sex. A man will think that making love will make it all right again.

2) TOUCHING: For women touching without sex is comforting and very soothing. They find that the touching gives a warm feeling of security. However for men touching without sex can easily be misunderstood and he can even feel threatened.

Please understand that when men touch each other, it is in a rough manner. They slap or punch each other on the back. Tender touching makes many men feel vulnerable and dependent. These have been seen by men to be un-masculine. Men find it uncomfortable with so much closeness. It makes them feel vulnerable.

However women are not comfortable without this type of intimacy.

3) TELEPHONE: Men use the telephone or mobile phone as a communication device. It is to send short messages to each other.

However women see the telephone differently. They use it to keep in touch with their friends supporting, helping and growing relationships. They are more interested in people and feelings than objects such as telephones and the latest video games.

4) SEX: When it comes to foreplay, women prefer 40-45 minutes of foreplay. However men on the other hand prefer 40-45 seconds of foreplay before sex

5) GOING OUT: When a man says he is ready to go out, it means he is ready to go out. However when a woman says she is ready to go out, it means she is ready, as soon as she finds her other piece of jewellery and makes just one more phone call.

6) SHOPPING: Women can shop all day and enjoy the whole experience. Its a chance to talk. They use talk to build and sustain connections with others. However men just want finish and close the situation. Its their nature. One can view this difference anytime with couples in shopping malls.

7) BATHROOMS: A man has on average around 5-6 items in his bathroom. A woman on the other hand has over 200 items in her bathroom. Make no attempt to ask a man to identify all these items.

8) DRESSING UP: A woman will dress up to go shopping, gardening, answer the phone, or get the post. A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

9) CHILDREN: A woman knows all about her children. She knows about doctors and dentists appointments. All their friends, their favorite and not so favorite foods, plus their secret fears and their hopes and dreams. Most men, though not as many as years ago, are aware of some short people sharing the home.

10) TOYS: Little girls love to play with toys. Then when they reach the age of approximately 12, they seem to lose the interest. However, men NEVER grow out of their obsession with toys. As they get older, the toys simply get more expensive. One shopping channel has a section called "Big Boys Toys."

In ending this article I would like to stress the points Not all women are alike - Not all men are alike.

There have been great men and great women who have made this world such a better place. No matter what sex you are I leave you with this quote that applies to all of us. Be kind. Remember, everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. --Thompson

I wish you perfect health and piece of mind in all that you do.

Sexual health is such a wide topic with so many opinions that it is hard to get any straight answers. Even if you are lucky enough to get an answer one might find that there is another answer waiting just to contradict that one. It's a puzzling world for both men and women. This distinction is brought to light simple because of the fact that men and woman see sex differently. They experience puberty differently and male's sexual health is far different to female's sexual health.

It can seriously be argued that Men's sexual health begins at puberty. Women on the other hand, do experience wide and broad ranges of emotions coupled with psychological and physical issues far worse than men. Though men and women experience sexuality differently; it's imperative however, that young men and woman are made aware of the risks they face and what they need to do cope.

A duo combination

Sexuality and women's health in general go hand in hand. It's just plain biology, the fact is women are the reproductive vessels of our species and their bodies undergo tremendous changes and pressure and the sexual and general health are often one in the same. Women have many different stages of their lives that sexual health takes on different aspects; there are different precautions for pregnancy than there is for menopause. There're different requirements for puberty than there is for a woman in her twenties. The list is endless.

Men's sexual health however is less diverse but by no means less important. The first and most obvious is Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STD's.) This is something that all men and women need to be aware of and act accordingly. It is very much man's responsibility to get himself checked-out regularly, and protect himself and his partner always!

When we discuss questions in the male sexual health realm we can have questions from "can you break your penis" to more involved and serious questions such as "how do I deal with prostate cancer". Male sexual health is not something that is very openly spoken about; this may be due to the fact that in most cultures it is unaccepted discourse. However in today's evolving world men are becoming increasing open to discuss and asking question about men's sexual health.

There're serious problems out there, unfortunately most are not given as much social awareness as things that are more economically beneficial to the pharmaceuticals market and are as closely attached to men's ego's, such as erectile dysfunctions. Yes these are important aspects to men's health but to a large extent these issues are being flogged on the TV, internet and anywhere else purely for the economic, wealth creating, factor and less for the concerns and sexual health of men and sexual health of woman. Serious sexual and women's health in general have taken a significant back seat in the public eye simply because it is not as profitable to talk about. That is why it is up to the households to educate the next generation, because the capitalist orientated-world won't. Sexual health questions are part of growing-up, and parents should encourage their children to be open about sexual questions.

You care, you want, you dream of living as healthy as ever...because now you seem to notice some grey hair, some fine lines on your face, on your hands and on our body.... Here are several things to observe, when one is over 40 years old and into the fifties...

I always have someone to ask me, "Miss Wong, you haven't a bit grown older... you look just like before!" most of my students will tell me when we meet just anyplace. I smilingly told them, 'maybe I have grown old 10 years ago... and they would be bursting out laughing loudly adding that I was as joking as ever.

Well, nothing is the same actually, change is the only constant. It all depends on how we look at things and how we take things as. Beauty is not just skin-deep. Inner beauty is what radiates a person's warmth, character and a person's personality.

Why am I so concerned then? I always tell myself that I am lucky that I was exposed to holistic health when I was 17. I have seen and felt the great need to remain healthy at all times, at all ages. I have experienced and felt the pain, the desperation and the need that we should at least know and learn the basic to look after oneself.

Let's look into on how to maintain good health after 40, Here are some of those important things that a person of over 40 should do and know. The content is partly taken from my personal column in [http://articlesubmission.info/alternative-health/].

Our motive? Yes, to be healthy and strong, be we at any age, 40, 50, 60 or more.. I sometimes joke with my friend, daring him to live 100! It can be a joke, but it can also be our goals that will move all of us forward with hope!

[1] Don't get overweight - consume less carbohydrates, fats and sugars, always maintain an ideal weight

[2] Eat less meats, or be a vegetarian with meatless diets.. Remember, almost all meats contain bad cholesterols, uric acids, hidden fats and some growth hormones

[3] Go for regular body check-up and listen to doctor's advices on how to maintain good health. Get the appropriate knowledge on preventive measures. Prevention is better than cure.

[4] Start to exercise, recommending 'soft' exercises, like stretching to prevent stiffness of limbs, numbness and improve one's flexibility and at the same time learning how to breathe properly.

[5] Keep a positive mental attitude - understand the law of love, law of attraction and law of life and law of harvest. One must know how to create positive environments and let positive people influence us.

[6] Know about anti-aging - understand how one grows old. Learn what causes premature aging, eat the proper foods that helps keep one healthy, young and robust.

[7] Boost immune system - one is always fighting against bacteria, germs, virus. "You win, you live, you lose, you die!'

[8] There is a need to go for detox program - once in two or three months. One can do a semi-fast with drinking only freshly prepared juices or eating only raw fruits and vegetables for a period of 7 days.

[9] Search and learn about spiritual health and wealth - meditation is recommended. Understand that our mortal body is embedding an immortal soul that lives for eternity! Get to know about it!

[10] Next step - watch out for the menopause when one is going into the fifties for women....or andropause for man. This is another great topic to write... aging gracefully to be exact.

The above are just some of the many things that one should observe once we grow into the forties. Rest assured, no fear, no tears, because if one knows the skills of keeping healthy, one can go the extra mile, like I used to say....aging gracefully.

Here are some health tips you might find useful. I myself have survived a serious health problem and not just survived it but emerged from it at the age of 58 in the best health I have ever enjoyed.

DAILY EXERCISE:

Lots of walking/running/cycling. Bodies like to be worked so work yours. Just bear in mind a gradient approach and don't over-tax it.

STRESS:

Human beings are tough creatures so I'm not over-keen to play the "stress" card. A busy, active, responsible life with a few thrills and spills is recommended. But get sufficient rest and sleep and give yourself some down time. Take a walk and get yourself some space. As well as ensuring you get sufficient rest, get sufficient WHOLESOME food food and liquids. These common-sense measures can go a long way to preventing high cholesterol and blood pressure weight gain, insomnia, headaches, acne, and even hair loss. The body will work fine until its is impeded from so doing: so much of what ails us comes about because, quite simply, we poison or damage ourselves

QUIT CAFFEINE AND TOBACCO:

This maybe easier said than done but the health benefits if you can pull it off are tremendous. Believe me, I've been there! And if I can kick these habits so, my friend, can you!

AVOID DRUGS AND ALCOHOL

These are poisons. The pharmaceutical industry works hard to convince us to drug ourselves on every pretext - and the drugs touted are very often catastrophic to health. In a great many instances good nutrition is a better solution or indeed prevention and as a technology nutrition has left the pharmaceutical approach back in the stone age.

Drug companies however cannot make money out of getting us to eat properly or take vitamins. Indeed they cannot make money out of our being well.

GET REGULAR CHECKUPS:

I recommend two things: a standard blood test by which you can monitor cholesterol levels and so forth and periodic visits to a kinesiologist.

Kinesiology is a highly advanced piece of technology and in the hands of an expert practitioner it is a wonderful and very accurate diagnostic tool.

With it one can establish whether any organs are not working properly and not only establish the specific herbal/nutritional remedy that will resolve the matter but the amounts of that remedy one needs to take. My kinesiologist has been able to detect and resolve issues early before they became life-threatening that mainstream medicine never would have been able to detect.

I have been greatly impressed and helped by Kinesiology and highly recommend it.

SUPER FOOD

They are calling it a super food and a "nutrient power house." In my view this natural, organic whole food deserves such accolades. It nourishes at a deep cellular level. Since I have been using it I have enjoyed a remarkable resurgence of my vitality and overall wellness. Throughout my body everything simply started working properly. I have been so impressed by this fantastic product that I am about to publish a free book that will tell you all about it:: what it is, what it does and why its results are so miraculous. I am giving it away to anyone who wants a copy. Including YOU, dear reader.
